what happened?
Before she went down the stairs, she had taken a gun to kill her lover.
She saw him lying on the floor next to the christmas tree. He must be dead! And, she could be his lover.
It could be another person who killed him, before her. It could be the murder who is hidding in the house, who killed him, the other lover. And, the presents were already opened, before the murderer. They have been stolen.
She finished by phoning the police because, she wasn't the murderer.
